Raspberry Pi Passes CE, Now Finally Available
- By Ardjuna Seghers

You might have heard of the Rasberry Pi, a miniature but relatively powerful and flexible computer that will be released for as little as $25 (around £16)!
For what you can do with this fruity number (see what we did there?), have a read of ourRaspberry Pi - 10 Best Uses for the $25 Computer, or check out our Raspberry Pi Most Wanted List.
Thwarting these ambitions and tremendous expectations was a delay caused while theRaspberry Pi needed to get its CE certification. Thankfully, that’s now happened. The miniature marvel passed CE compliance testing which is required for its EU debut now that it’s no longer a product aimed mainly at developers. It’s also passed FCC and CTick, and can be sold in all major western territories.
The best news is that the Raspberry Pi doesn’t require any modifications for its compliance, so after all the relevant paperwork gets sorted it should finally be arriving in consumers’ grubby – or clean, as the case may be - mitts this month.
