Bangkok to Bali Overland, part in the bowels of Bangkok

The mission was to travel by land over much of Asia, from bangkok to Bali, on the ground, the way I wanted to do diving and has brought all of my equipment. The weather was not a factor, but I wanted to do it as cheaply as possible.
The drive from my hotel in bangkok began on Suhkumvitt. I wanted to cheat and take a taxi, but when I asked how long it would take, he said, depended on how bad was the traffic jam! The best hotels to stay in this area, the Montien Hotel, Silom Serene, Bally's Suite Silom and SiamHeritage Suites. None of these hotels are guest friendly, however.
The next two runs red light zones are found from Sukhumvit Road. The names are Nana and Soi Cowboy. Sukhumvit Road and Nana cuts after 7:00 to find hordes of freelance sex workers meeting outside the Nana Hotel car park at the entrance to Nana Entertainment Plaza. NEP is a 3-storey building with the joys of sex and alcohol filled. Definitely a must visit.
Soi Cowboy is the little red lightDistrict is beautiful with facilities such as Long Bar and Rawhide. These two go-go bars are already some time ago, and still going strong.
Now most tourists who go to Bangkok you can get a plane back to their roommate. If you have that, then you should book a hotel, the "Guest Friendly Hotel". You may have heard other terms such as hotels girl-friendly and non joiner fee. Because if you do not live in a kind of no hotel, it ispay a minimum fee of 500THB carpenter hotel management.
Most of the guests are friendly hotel in Sukhumvit, nestled between the red light district of Nana and Soi Cowboy. Currently, there are none in the area of Patpong. However, taxis are cheap, it is also your back under a guest-friendly hotel in Sukhumvit definitely cheaper than paying the fee 500THB carpenter.

People know bangkok for a visit or inquire about some of the most famous of bangkok – - Nightlife and infamous. The best known is Patpong, which dates back to 1960 and popular with soldiers on leave from the Vietnam War. Aka Nana Plaza is located directly on Sukhumvit Road Soi 4 (Soi Nana) and Soi Cowboy.
In fact, there are several other areas, the conversation has become better known over the years, as Ratchadapisek Road,Rama IX Road, RCA (Royal City Avenue), and Soi Thonglor Soi Ekhamai.
But there is a place not on the cards for more sources of information: Washington Square (and around).
Washington Square fronts on the south side of Sukhumvit Soi 22 Sukhumvit Road Soi 24 and Sukhumvit between, closer to first than the latter.
Washington Square is actually a case with three cheek-by-jaw, elongated buildings occupy much of the center, go to a drive on all four sides, thesurrounded by a series of buildings go. The place can be entered directly from Sukhumvit Road on a short-time access to internal disk or from Sukhumvit Soi 22 in front of the Regency Park Hotel about a hundred meters from Sukhumvit Road.
The square is a rather curious. There are various bars, including two for serving food, and some who only serve beverages and other restaurant bars that are longer than in nature. There are Japanese bar food. Surrounded byin the northwest corner of the square there is also a gay bar, but most patrons of the place, may well be on another planet. There are also some massage parlors. There are several companies that are here, including a printer and a travel agency. The average of the three buildings side-by-side are used to house a cinema, but now has a large pool bar oriented ground floor with a performance of "ladyboy" cabaret in the auditorium upstairs.
The largest group ofRegular guests of the course – and it is a regular table '"type of place – he is American, although many other nationalities are represented, including Canadians, Britons, Australians and New Zealanders, but represented by a number of other by at least one or two people. Most are regulars in the field (a group called "Squaronians"), a group of slightly older, almost exclusively male.

Most people around thisArea are full time * and * long-term – will not turn, after a trip back to their country of origin. Many have some Thai women and children. A considerable number are retired (including some senior U.S. military). The largest group of people in the oil business or the construction (often oil-based), done as a field worker.
A locally based English writer, once wrote an article describing the regulars of the place as "men with a thousand-yard stares," andthis is a good metaphor. Newcomers are always welcome, but to get an idea of how Squaronians (and the fools at all, let alone love!).
I should note that while I am more than a Squaronian me (and thus have more than a decade), I have no commercial interests around the world have in Washington Square. Sometimes I wondered, as I often write about them.
Worth and is close to the Skytrain station at Emporium and a little 'further from theAsoke station, the walk is easily one of the two. Figure on about four or five minutes from the station and the Emporium minutes from 8:00 to 10:00 at Asoke.
